The Queen Victoria is a traditional community pub offering quality food, an extensive range of good wines, real ales, draft ciders and fine lagers. As a local pub, we welcome everyone: our regular locals, walkers, cyclists, families and (well behaved) dogs. The pub is visible and right next to the A281 out of Guildford, and couldn't be closer to Shalford Railway Station. Whilst there is no allocated parking for pub customers, there is free parking in Station Row, the Station car park or over the road in the recycling point car park - both of which are only 2 minutes walk away.
The Queen Victoria is full of history: it was first opened as a Beer House in 1850, it became a public house with a licence in 1864 and was substantially enlarged with a new frontage (as it is today) in 1887. Margaret Dierden, a local historian, has written up the history of The Queen Victoria which she's kindly let us share.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
