Right then, what’s The Vic all about?
It’s quite simple we serve real ale, in fact very good real ale. The Vic’s been in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide for 15 years on the trot. We make really nice food, it’s all as local as we can get, we make sure it’s in season and we don’t charge the earth for it.
What makes us special?
We’re a proper pub. Come in and we’ll learn your name, as the landlord and landlady we’re here not sat in an office filing target reports and meeting budgets. We work hard to be part of the community. The Vic sponsors Westbury and United Banks Youth hockey team (the link is below) we fundraise locally, we guerilla garden (Chock Lane used to be an abandoned waste land) and we welcome everyone - even the Church campanologists. The menu at The Vic changes seasonally but we have the specials boards for fresh fish, homemade treats and a range of vegetarian meals and the boards change 2 to 3 times a week. If you’ve got an allergy tell us, everyone here knows what is in the food and if we can’t change it we can substitute it.
